B. NICOLE SMITH

Nikki Smith was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Nikki attended the University
of Georgia in the Honors Program for Journalism and Political Science. Nikki remained
in Athens for her legal studies and graduated from the University of Georgia School
of Law in 2000. Upon graduation, Nikki was awarded the Order of the Barristers by
the Law School faculty for her skills in advocacy and mock trial.
Following law school, Nikki was a District Attorney for Dekalb County in Atlanta,
Georgia. She also worked for a number of years at a Top 25 Atlanta defense law firm.
Nikki and her husband relocated to Savannah, Georgia in 2006 and she has been practicing
with Brennan & Wasden since that time. She was named a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010.
Nikki engages in civil litigation with a focus on defending physicians, hospitals
and other health care providers. She has represented clients successfully in numerous
jury and bench trials in state and superior court. In addition to proudly serving
the medical community, Nikki also represents corporate clients and insurers in accidents,
products liability cases, and contractual disputes.
Nikki is active in the local and state bar associations. She also volunteers with
the Oatland Island Wildlife Center and the Historic Savannah Foundation. Nikki married
a law school classmate and together they raise twin boys and an unruly Labrador Retriever.
